LUNCH: 10:30-3:00 PM (featuring pulled pork sandwiches and Koegel's hot dogs, BAKE SALE)

· TOUR PODUNK HOUSE (furnished 1837 Greek Revival-style Pioneer family home)

· EXPLORE THE MUSEUM BUILDING (antique tools, barber items, steamwheeler artifacts, photos of early settlers in Fenton & Mundy Townships, Lake Fenton H.S. memorabilia…) SEE OUR WORKING WINDMILL!!

- ENJOY LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: Boy Scout Flag-raising Ceremony, Bagpipes by Brad Wright, Ron & Ruth singing gospel and country songs, Mary Lynn Stimson with Guitar and much, much more

· VISIT OUR DISPLAY BOOTHS: CRAFTS, BAKE SALE, FARM PRODUCE & MORE! MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. BRING YOUR CAMERAS - wear your pioneer clothes (optional!)

Volunteers and Items needed for Pioneer Day!
Contact Mary Jane Pinkston or Jeanette Butts
Volunteers are needed to:

  • make phone calls
  • donate baked goods (especially pies), pickles, jams, etc.
  • help in the kitchen
  • work at the gate or parking lot
  • help with house tours
  • help out at the Children's Corner, etc.

Items are also needed for:

  • book sale
  • door prizes
  • rummage sale (NO CLOTHING, please)
  • produce stand.

Food donations for the Bake Sale can be brought on Pioneer Day after 10:00 am. All other donations can be dropped off at the home of Mary Jane Pinkston or Jeanette Butts prior to Pioneer Day and are tax deductible.***Please clearly mark prices on items that you are donating for the sale.

We also need: VENDORS and CRAFTERS. Art, jewelry, maps, note cards and stained glass works, embroidery and tatting have been for sale in previous years. We welcome our faithful participants as well as new and unique items. Bring your HOBBIES and special COLLECTIONS. Examples of what we have enjoyed include displays of wrought iron pieces, antique jewelry, dolls, a miniature replica of our Podunk House, and antique buggy, wood splitters and other implements and tools. Please share your collection with our guests. Please call to reserve a booth.
